EMPD hosts safety talks at local preschool and day care centres

The EMPD Social Crime Prevention Unit conducted safety awareness talks at Chloorkop Preschool and Siphesihle Day Care Centre on January 16.

The sessions took place in the Thembisa and Kempton Park areas and formed part of the EMPD’s ongoing efforts to promote child safety within early childhood development centres.

According to the EMPD, the purpose of the awareness campaign was to educate children on basic traffic rules and to remind teachers of the importance of effective child supervision.

The talks emphasised the need for educators to remain vigilant at all times, particularly during playtime and transitions, to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
