On Friday, July 26 at about 00.45, we experienced an attempted burglary at our home in Glen Marais when three armed intruders broke into our garage.
I called the 10111 emergency line, which was answered immediately.
Within minutes, two police vehicles were at our address. Although the intruders had fled, the female police officer and her team of several armed officers took the time to check out the perimeter of our property.
We later learned our incident was one of three in the suburb that night, which should urge other residents to review their security systems and devise and agree on a safety strategy for similar incidents.
A huge thank you to the police network that worked so effectively that night, cannot praise them enough.
