Cat poisoned at complex

‘I can't believe that animal cruelty is taken so lightly’

JEANINE writes via looklocal:

How lightly do people take animal cruelty?

My cat was poisoned on September 17 in the complex I live in, in Terenure.

Only to find out that someone residing in the complex sent the body corporate a threat, saying they will kill any cat that enters their property.

The body corporate did absolutely nothing about it. They couldn’t even send out an email to warn the residents or contact the SPCA to get the cats or to know what steps to take next.

Now my baby is not here anymore and nothing can bring him back. My animals are my life and he had to suffer because of heartless people in this world.

I can’t believe that animal cruelty is taken so lightly. I bet if I made a threat to the kids playing in front of my house that I will kill them, that it would not just have been ignored. To me that is the same thing.

And people putting out poison for animals in the complex, how dumb are they? There are kids running around all over the place. I hope the people get caught for their heartless behaviour.

Better yet, move out of the complex if you don’t like animals. Go somewhere else where we don’t have to deal with the mentality of a murderer.
