God cares what you do with your body

The article, “Nude pics: teen in court” refers.

The conduct of the teen was shocking and terribly wrong but I strongly suspect that morality is at its lowest and darkest hour in our world.

Seriously, what do you expect from our young people? This incident is the tip of the iceberg as the other article on page 5, “Confession page…”, also reveals.

For ages we have seen Hollywood, the music industry, media, magazines, advertising, the fashion world, etc exploiting the newly awakened sexual drive in young people for money.

Sex has been made cheap in our society, something that sells and can be used for money, greed. This has produced morality sick people.

We see, for example, advertising slimming products as a valid reason to portray naked bodies to the public. Over exposure to nudity has devastating psychological effects in many areas.

I need not expand on the ad industry and how they use sexual attraction to sell anything from cars to gadgets. The outward appearance is being glamorised as opposed to inward character which God wants to develop in every man to become a person of dignity, integrity, upright, etc.

We have allowed Hollywood to undress our teens and turn them into whores instead of guarding their sexuality as something precious. We are no longer a Christian nation, girls no longer know how to blush.

Anyway, God designed us for a purpose. You cannot use a guitar to bake a cake in or use an oven to wash clothes in. So also we were created to glorify God with our whole being and live to His honour in His image.

Sex is not a toy to play with, it was created for marriage. A marriage consists of a father, mother, who are in life long bond of love and responsibility, who support, supply for, love, guide, discipline, cherish, protect, etc their children so that they can develop their talents and learn to work and serve their neighbour as themselves. People were created to love and possession to use. But our society is using people and loving possessions.

I love young people and want to tell you: don’t let the system use you, you can resist temptation if you come into a love relationship with your Creator and become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He will give you a sound mind and a willing heart and a heart full of passion for Him and for truly loving and serving others in purity.

He is the true Shepherd of our souls who deeply satisfy us inside. He is powerful to save from any addiction.

Read the book of Proverbs and the Gospel of John and see the wonder of who God is and what he intended for you, do not recklessly waste your life.

God cares what you do with your body, it is His temple. He made you and you will not be truly fulfilled until you get back in unity with Him.
