Car guard steals iPad

Centre goes out of its way to help find the culprit

LINDA KOTZE writes:

I went to Checkers at Cavendish Glen Shopping Centre on February 5.

I did my shopping and the car guard helped with the trolley and loaded the bags into my car. He stole my iPad from my car.

I only realised that it was lost late that evening.

The next morning I went back to Checkers and the store manager, Mike Molekwa, with Chantelle Ludick, the centre manager and security, Charles Sikuba, went out their way to assist me in helping to get my stolen iPad back.

Chantelle took time to go through footage to see what happened and worked from there. The guilty car guard was confronted with the evidence and needless to say, my iPad was handed back to me a few hours later without any damage.

A big thank you to Chantelle, Mike and Charles. This is much appreciated.
