Barefoot child on hot tar shocks

It was so hot outside I was sitting with my aircon blowing directly on me on high

SHANA HOBBS writes:

Driving home from work, I stopped at a red traffic light.

While waiting for the light to change, I saw a mother walking between the cars with a toddler (about two years old) and a baby on her back.

This is a common sight, I know, but what got my blood boiling was that the toddler didn’t have any shoes on. You know how hot that tar road gets in the heat we’ve been having lately.

His feet must have been burning. And he had a jersey on. It was so hot outside I was sitting with my aircon blowing directly on me on high.

It was boiling hot. I got so angry when I saw this, I almost got out of the car and put the two babies into my car and drove them to welfare.

They’re better off there than on the streets begging.

I really wish someone would see the problem and for once and for all do something about it.
