Do it the legal way

M WILSON of Edleen writes:

My husband had a leg amputated a few years back. He is now only able to get about in a wheelchair.

We have therefore a need for paraplegic parking.

At the time, we enquired what was necessary to enable us to legally use the designated paraplegic parking areas. The metro police issued forms that were completed by the doctor and returned to them.

They then issued us with a paraplegic parking permit.

This permit shows your name, ID, number etc. As far as I know, this is the legal way of allowing you to make use of paraplegic parking.

This permit is displayed in our car window and is easily visible.
