Thanks from a ‘little old lady’

She was taken to her car on a secretary chair with wheels

MRS DS LEVY writes:

I would like to thank the manager, staff and security staff of Shoprite Checkers in Kempton Park for their kind assistance and concern for the little old lady that collapsed in their shop on April 5.

I was shopping with my husband at Shoprite Checkers at the top of Central Avenue when I felt dizzy and apparently collapsed in the shop. I had just donated blood and everybody thought it was because of the blood donation that I felt faint.

I have donated 134 litres of blood and have never had any reaction at all, so was quite amazed at what had happened.

It was because I had picked up a tummy-bug which caused my blood pressure to suddenly drop, of which I was totally unaware. The staff looked after me as true caring people and helped my husband to get me to the car on a secretary chair with wheels.

Needless to say, my shopping experience went out the window and I spent the weekend in bed sleeping. By Monday it was all over and forgotten.
