On Friday, July 25 during the afternoon a water meter was stolen from the corner of Proton and Nuwejaarsvoël streets in Chloorkop.
The Ekurhuleni call centre was contacted and informed of the water running down the street and we got a reference number.
The Monday morning the leak was still not repaired. We phoned again and was told to go to customer services and apply for a new meter, not worried about the water wastage at all.
Our security guard informed us that water was also running down the street at two places on Nuwejaarsvoël Street, not sure if their water meters were also stolen.
