Monument Road businesses targeted

There were four incidences in three weeks

JURIE GELDENHUYS writes:

I would like to report an increase in criminal activity at businesses located on Monument Road.

Over the past three weeks there were three attempted break-ins and one break-in. All this happened at three businesses located next to each other.

On July 31 around 3am there was a robbery where they cleaned out the office of all electronic equipment.

Two weeks later, on August 15 around 10pm, there was an attempted break-in where three suspects driving an old blue Chevy pickup were snooping around the premises. Luckily, before gaining access to the building, they were spooked by vigilant neighbours that shouted at them and the suspected thieves fled the scene.

Two days later, on August 17 around 9pm there was another attempted break-in. Once again the alarm was raised after neighbours noticed people snooping around on the roof of the building.
