Surprise! We have now been invaded by 40 and 60 ton trucks by the dozen (sand pits are run from these premises).
They do dozens of trips on these narrow roads daily, roaring down 8th Avenue at great speeds, blocking the road in queues, awaiting to enter the small gate.
The trucks are making noise to the point that it is virtually impossible to live here. My complaints to council have fallen on deaf ears. I am sure there are restrictions in place to control what one can and cannot do in a residential suburb.
Is there anyone out there that knows what can be done to return Pomona to the peaceful suburb it once was, or is this just another lost cause like many in the new South Africa?
