Church sign is a welcome sight

'I personally think this is a very spiteful attempt to discredit this church'

MARGE FLETCHER writes:

I read with interest the article about the signboard on Atlas Road.

For what it is worth, may I add my comment?

I am not a member of this church. I do, however, travel on Atlas Road five days and five evenings or more a week.

It is utter nonsense that one is blinded by this sign. It is a double road and unless you are drunk you shouldn’t stray off your lane.

It is a welcome sight for me. It lights up the road and there are lights on the road. This is at an intersection opposite the well lit garage.

I personally think this is a very spiteful attempt to discredit this church. This light should not cause a lack of sleep. Every home owner these days leaves all outside lights on at all times for security reasons anyway.

I have never been blinded by this sign whatsoever and neither has anyone else that I know of. What utter nonsense.

Now that I know what interesting things are going on at the church, I shall most certainly pop in for a look sometime.
