Illegal buildings seem to be the order of the day in this town.
There are several Illegal buildings in Rhodesfield. In Kittyhawk Street the owners continue with the building of the boarding house even after being served with a notice that the building is illegal and need to be demolished.
This leaves me to wonder. A lot of people cannot get building permits due to the rezoning plans for Rhodesfield. None of the neighbours around the property concerned gave any consent for the building to commence but the rest of us need to obtain this even for a carport to be erected.
Are there two sets of rules being applied to citizens?
Is this another sample of the corruption plaguing our country? Did this owner pay somebody to get the building plans approved?
If not, why is the council not doing something serious about these buildings? Are they going to wait for people to move in and if there is problems afterwards, claim they did not know?
