I have a diesel depot/truck store next to Bredell Spar and opposite my property. The trucks are on the road 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Most of these trucks are from across the border and do not worry about noise or anything. The drivers have no problem in starting their trucks in the early hours of the morning, revving the S.H.ONE.T out of them, pulling the air horns, biep, biep, biep, while reversing.
These truck stores rent the ground and do not worry what damage they are causing. The law can confiscate alcohol from shebeens as they are illegal. Why can the law not confiscate diesel as this depot is illegal?
I challenge a council member, including the mayor, to come and spend one night in my house and see what I have to live with. I have been staying in Bredell for 30 years and these trucking businesses are destroying this place.
What is it going to look like in the next few years?
