Barnstormers Model Flying Club in Kempton Park has developed a youth programme which is designed to help young enthusiasts enter the world of model aircraft.

Whether they are experienced pilots or first-timers, a youth programme member can come to the club and enjoy the world-class facilities free of charge.

The club has South Africa’s first permanent FPV section with full-size gates where members can come fly their race drones and quads. The club also caters for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft such as gliders, control line, turbine and nitro powered models.

If you are interested in aviation and flying, Barnstormers have the facilities for you. Barnstormers Model Flying Club’s committee, instructors and 200 plus members are able to assist youth members to learn the skills required to become a successful pilot through proficiency tests in a controlled environment.

The club is a SAMAA registered airfield and every pilot is required by law to have SAMAA insurance. For details visit www.samaa.org.za.

The club encourages schools and the public to come see what they have to offer. If you would like to know more about the youth programme, you can contact them at barnstormersmfc6@gmail.com or on our website www.barnstormersmfc.com
