Payne only a Nightmare away from becoming two-time champ

Payne was involved in a three-way elimination match against The Bandit and Ultimate Nathan for the HWA South African Championship.

Kempton Park resident and Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) wrestler Hector Payne has the opportunity to become a two-time HWA world champion.

This is as a result of events that transpired at the Thierry Middoux Tribute event at Dinwiddie Sports Centre.

Payne was involved in a three-way elimination match against The Bandit and Ultimate Nathan for the HWA South African Championship. Payne was unsuccessful in capturing the championship due to interference from the new HWA world champion, Durban wrestler Nightmare.

Nightmare and Payne were involved in a feud 10 years ago that ended with Nightmare claiming the first victory over Payne.

Nightmare and Payne are scheduled to face off against each other on May 3 in Bloemfontein, but Nightmare has taken to social media and announced Payne must first defeat former world champion Steve Eden at the Lusito Land Festival on April 21 in order to have a title match in Bloemfontein.

Tickets are available from Kindly. Contact Steve van Eeden on 074 932 7520 or steve@prowrestling.co.za or visit www.prowrestling.co.za
