Milano SA wins top three tournament in Ivory Park

Milano SA celebrated a 1-0 tournament victory against Real Giants in Ivory Park.

On May 11, Milano SA won a top three tournament at Ivory Park Kopanong Sports Ground in Extension 15.

Fans were treated to skillful and exciting matches, and the tournament created a business opportunity for local residents who sold ice blocks during the match.

The tournament saw four teams battle it out and kick-started with Real Giants playing against Ivory Academy and winning with 1-0. The second game saw Milano SA and Ivory Academy fight it out, with Milano SA winning 4-1.

The final was between Milano SA and Real Giants. The first half was dominated by Milano SA, but they missed out on chances to score. The half-time whistle blew and the score was 0-0. In the second half, Real Giants put more pressure on Milano SA’s defence, but still didn’t score.

In the 72th minute, Last Luseko scored for Milano SA, making the score 1-0.

Luseko said he aimed for the ball as it came towards him and by the time it was in his control he knew what to do.

“It makes me happy that I scored because I love my team and all we need to do is win every match we play,” said Luseko.

Thabang Tjale, coach of Real Giants, said the boys played very well, showing growth during the game.

“The match went well and we tried to score a goal, but we could not get through their defence,” said Tjale.

Boitumelo Machave, captain of Real Giants, said the boys lost many balls when they launched an attack.

“The opponents played long balls, which created too much pressure for us at the back,” said Machave.

“It was a difficult game because we did not know the strength of the opposition, but we had to stand our ground,” said Milano SA coach Prince Ramoshaba.

“We have to go back to the drawing board and fix our mistakes because I need my boys to read the rhythm of the game during the match,” said Ramoshaba.
