The donated items will be used by 23 players in the club.

According to netball coach Abongile Ngomane, this opportunity goes to show that there are still businesses that care about their community and the advancement of young players.

“I am happy that my players will now look like other children in sport.

“We are hoping that FNB continues this giving relationship,” said Ngomane.

She added that the donation was much-needed.

According to FNB Business Growth Volunteers executive assistant Thobile Ngubane, the volunteer team was touched when they saw the young girls who did not let their disadvantaged background stop them from achieving their goals.

“Not having shoes to participate in sport is better than not having legs to play at all. That was the lesson learned and it touched us,” said Ngubane.
