Full house of wins for Wolwe

Forward dominance was the key to the Wolwe’s success for both matches, although VUT gave the back lines some hard work with good, fast-running rugby.

Kempton Park Rugby Club’s Wolwe travelled to the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) on May 13.

Forward dominance was the key to the Wolwe’s success in both matches, although VUT gave the back lines some hard work with good, fast-running rugby.

The Wolwe second team won, scoring 19 points to seven, and the Wolwe first team had to fight hard to clinch a closely contested battle for a 26-18 bonus point victory.

The first team scored four tries, two by Vincent Ndlovu, while Francois Roux and Chris Kasselman scored one each.
Hayden Maree made three conversions.

In the second team, Kobus Nel, Warren Friend and Brandon Riekert each scored one try, while Bradin Anderson secured two conversions.

Next up for the Wolwe is their home game against Meyerton on May 20.
