The finals saw Winnie United FC and View Tigers battle it out.

Despite both teams fighting hard for ball possession, the match ended in a draw and the winners were determined by a penalty shootout.

Winnie United won 4-3.

Winnie United coach Andries Pilosa said he was beyond happy that his team’s hard work had paid off.

“It feels great to be part of a winning team. The team was more than ready for the match and the game was a rollercoaster of emotions. My team worked hard to win the competition, and we fought many tough battles.

“From a logical perspective, we should go for winning to gain more confidence as a team.

“The training strategy we used was to do everything as a team. Running game management scenarios is the best way to prepare ourselves for the difficulties we may face in high-pressure match situations.

“Our other challenge was introducing new football playing styles, tactics, formations and drills to help the team deliver good results,” he said.

Pilosa added soccer is a challenging sport that requires immense concentration and attention to detail.
“Throughout this journey, we faced plenty of setbacks but we always learned from these situations,” he said.
