Avion cricket teams shine on the field

Teams from Avion Park Cricket Club played several games over the weekend.

The Avion U8 in the Impala League faced Kempton Park Cricket Club at Kruinsig A field.

Avion won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 4/107 in 20 overs.

Kempton replied with 4/96 in their 20 at bat.

Avion’s U8s in the Kingham league played against Benoni in Benoni.

Avion won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 3/80 in 20 overs.

Benoni scored 1/81 in 13 overs to win by nine wickets.

Avion’s U8 Sibali league team went head-to-head against Vosloorus.

Avion won the toss and elected to field first.

Vosloorus scored 6/81 in 20 overs. Avion replied with 5/76 in 20 overs, causing Vosloorus to win by five runs.
The U10 Impala League 1 team from Avion took on Champions.

Champions won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 23.2/115 all out in 23.2 overs. Avion replied with 5/119 in 15.2 overs to win the match by five wickets.

In the Impala 2 League, Avion faced Daveyton.

Daveyton won the toss and bowled first.

Avion scored 6/261 in 25 overs.

Daveyton replied with 62 all out in 10 overs for Avion to win by 199 runs.

The Avion U10 team in the Kingham League faced Geluksdal, at Willomore.

Geluksdal won the toss and chose to bowl.

Avion scored 5/142 in 20 overs and Geluksdal replied with 5/143 in 18.5 overs to win by five wickets.
Avion U10 in the Sibali League took on Thembisa.

Thembisa won the toss and elected to bat first scoring 4/140 in 25 overs. Avion replied with 6/143 in 18.4 overs to win by four wickets.

In the U12 leagues, Avion beat Old Bens, Tshakane, Alberton and Thokoza.

The Avion U14’s faced Champions.

Champions won the toss and elected to bowl. Avion scored 9/130 in 25 overs, and Champions replied with 4/131 in 18.2 overs to win by six wickets.
