The Kruinsig girls delivered an impressive performance at the national SASN Hoops Tournament, reaching the semi-finals and finishing fourth overall.

Laerskool Kruinsig’s first netball team delivered an inspiring performance at the 2025 SASN HoopsTournament, finishing in an impressive fourth place overall.

The tournament, held on October 6 and 7, showcased top school talent from across the country in a fast-paced, modified version of the sport.

Hoops, a hybrid format that blends traditional seven-player netball with the high-energy rules of Fast5, demands exceptional skill, speed and adaptability — and Kruinsig certainly rose to the challenge.

Coach Danielle Schoeman said the Kruinsig girls demonstrated excellent teamwork, sharp tactics and unwavering determination throughout the tournament.

They walked off the court with their heads held high, proud of their hard-fought fourth-place finish in a highly competitive field.

Schoeman praised the team’s spirit and commitment.

“The girls gave it their all. This format is tough, and they showed real heart. I’m proud of how far they’ve come. This result is a reflection of their hard work and passion for the game,” she said.

Laerskool Kruinsig continues to build a strong reputation in school netball circles, and their performance at the SASN HOOPS Tournament is further proof of the talent being developed within the school’s sports programme.
