Young Jeugland rugby player needs sponsorship for France tour opportunity

Young rugby player, Mihle Cholephi asks for sponsorship to make his dream come true of traveling to France for a rugby tour.

Nineteen-year-old former Hoërskool Jeugland pupil, Mihle Cholephi, has been offered an international opportunity to travel to France on April 27 for a rugby tour that will allow him to train and compete against top rugby teams.

However, due to financial constraints, Cholephi is now appealing for sponsorship to help make the dream a reality.

“I am requesting a sponsorship for my upcoming rugby tour to France, an exceptional opportunity that will allow me to train and compete against some of the top rugby teams in the world, including clubs within the prestigious Top 14 league,” said Cholephi.

He explained that the tour represents a significant milestone in his rugby journey, offering not only high-level competition and professional training, but also valuable exposure to international coaches and scouts who will be present throughout the programme.

These scouts will identify talented players who may be offered contracts based on performance, discipline and skill.

The total cost of the tour is approximately R45 000, which includes accommodation and two meals per day.

While fully committed to making the most of the opportunity, Cholephi said he requires financial assistance to turn the dream into reality. He has also launched a BackaBuddy campaign to help raise the necessary funds.

“Your sponsorship would directly contribute to covering these expenses and would play a vital role in helping me take this important step towards a professional rugby career.

“This tour is more than just a trip; it is a life-changing opportunity to grow, compete at the highest level and pursue my ambitions in rugby on an international stage,” he said.

Cholephi began playing rugby at 14 and quickly developed a deep love for the game. He says rugby has grown from being just a sport into a passion and an important part of his identity.

He believes he has the talent to go far in the sport and hopes to fully realise his potential through this opportunity.
