This week’s golden oldie is a 1975 Audi 100 Coupe S, owned by Hubert ten Doeschate, who bought the car in 1981.
The car was used to commute to work and back every day, until a woman drove into the side of it in 1998. It was then stripped and sent to the panel beaters, and almost ten years later, the car was finally rebuilt.
Some interesting facts:
• The car has a 82 kilowatt/ 112 PS/ 110 hp (DIN) engine (about the equivalent of the Suzuki SX4 engine)
• The car is 4398mm long and 1750mm wide
• The car has a 58 litre fuel tank and can achieve a petrol consumption figure of 8,9 l/100km
• The car can reach a top speed of 182 km/h
