Best of the West Netball Festival to continue despite rainy weather

Krugersdorp High School confirmed the Best of the West festival will continue as planned, with both netball and hockey fixtures set to take place.

Krugersdorp High School (KHS) has confirmed that its Best of the West Netball Festival for High Schools will continue as planned despite the rainy weather.

With wet and cold conditions expected to persist, the school confirmed that the festival will still take place today and tomorrow, March 6 and 7.

According to the school’s head of marketing, Lauren Coetsee, the tournament will proceed as scheduled unless the weather becomes severe.

“Fixtures will go ahead as planned unless there is lightning or we deem the conditions to be dangerous. Otherwise, the festival will continue,” she said.

Hockey action is also set to take place

At the same time, there will be exciting hockey action during the festival. Schools expected to participate include Jeppe, Gateway, Parktown, Oos Moot, Edenvale, Randpark, Zeerust, Steyn City, the hosts KHS and more.
