Two suspects aged 26 years were arrested on 17 June for pointing a firearm.
It is believed that the incident occurred on 16 June after the complaint had gone looking for his girlfriend after sending her to the shops.
After an hour had gone by the complainant found his girlfriend in a local tavern.
“He found her at a tavern and they started arguing,” says Kagiso SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya.
The couple started exchanging words when two suspects, well known to the complainant, suddenly attacked and assaulted him with a steel object to his leg.
The suspects were enjoying the girlfriend’s company before the complainant arrived at the tavern.
The complainant sustained serious leg injuries.
Not wanting to cause any further trouble the complainant went back home. The suspects then followed him to his house where they tried to attack him for the second time.
“The suspects allegedly threatened the complainant by pointing him with a firearm and further broke his windows and the door.”
A case docket was opened against the two suspects at the Kagiso police station.
