Photoshoot for charity

A new budding photographer will be giving his time to take photos of parents and children to generate money.

While memories are being captured, others will be given the chance to create their own.

The Pick n Pay Noordheuwel Centre has teamed up with Casper Jooste, a budding Krugersdorp photographer who came up with an idea to generate funds for Kiddies Paradise, a non-profit organisation providing help to abused and abandoned children as well destitute elderly people such as those living at the Jack Cotton, President and Van Riebeeck residences for the aged.

“A friend of mine who helps Alma Barnard, founder of Kiddies Paradise, introduced me to Alma and that is when I got the idea to help her.”

Casper says he will be setting up his camera for parent-and-child photo shoots over the next few weekends.

A parent and child look-alike competition will be running also, where parents will get the chance to take pictures with their children to show off their resemblance.

They will stand a chance to win a prize for themselves, and their school also could walk away with R2 000 prize money.

He will be ready with his camera on Saturday 28 September, and Saturday 5 and 12 October from 8am until 7pm to capture memories that will last a lifetime.

For more information regarding the competition and the parent-and-child photo shoots, contact Casper on 076 780 0944.

Contact Alma on 072 088 0429 for more information about her organisation.
