Man attacks his wife with a hammer
The woman told her husband that she wanted to register for employment, but he accused her of being unfaithful to him.

A man (43) appeared in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court after he allegedly assaulted his wife with a hammer during an argument on 5 March.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson says that the incident happened in Swanieville at about 8.30am.
“It is alleged that the wife was at home with her husband when an argument ensued between them.”
Sibiya says that the woman wanted to register for employment, but her husband accused her of wanting to visit her boyfriend.
“The man then attacked her and assaulted her with a hammer, inflicting injuries to her head and body.”
The woman tried to break free and ran into a bedroom, but he followed her and continued to assault her and left her with open wounds to her head.
“She later was rushed to hospital.” says Sibiya.
“The woman opened a case of assault with the intention to do grievous bodily harm against her husband.”
Kagiso Police arrested him at 1pm that day and he is being held at the police station.
