Hijackers arrested following tip-off
Three suspects appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrates' Court for being in possession of a hijacked vehicle.

The Kagiso police managed to arrest three suspects aged 26, 27 and 38 for being in possession of a suspected hijacked vehicle after receiving a tip-off from the community.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson, says that the sector police was patrolling the Tsakane section in Kagiso on 6 March at about 1.45pm when they received a tip-off from an anonymous caller.
“He told the police that there was an armed robbery at the Engen garage in Luipaardsvlei a couple of weeks before where four armed suspects hijacked a green Toyota Tazz while its owner was filling it up with petrol.”
Sibiya says that he further told the police that he had spotted the vehicle at a scrap yard in Kagiso.
“The police proceeded to the scrap yard and found a shell of a vehicle. The scrap yard owner also provided the police with information that led to the arrest of the three suspects, all of them Mozambican nationals.”
They were detained at the Kagiso Police Station and appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court for being in possession of a hijacked vehicle.
The police is investigating the case.
