On the same day a house was broken into the Kagiso Police arrested two suspects at their residences.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson says a man coming from work in the early hours of the morning realised that his neighbour’s property had been burgled as some household items were found in and outside the yard.
“When the owner of the house woke up, she was surprised to find her stove in her yard and her fridge on the street.”
Sibiya says that most of her small electrical appliances such as her microwave, kettle and heater, her Nokia C and Samsung cellphones have not been recovered.
It seemed that the suspects gained entry through a broken window that was covered with adhesive tape.
“While the police was investigating the case they received a tip-off as to where the suspects might be.”
Sibiya says that the police arrested the suspects at their residences in Sinqobile and Kagiso respectively and they were detained at the Kagiso Police Station.
The suspects had appeared in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court.
