To vote or not to vote

Readers share their views on voting.

In light of the upcoming elections, the news reporters Amoryn Golden and Jacobus Myburgh took to the streets to find out from readers if voting is of importance to them or not.

Interviewees were asked if they are going to line up at the polls on 7 May to cast their vote, why they vote and what they are hoping would change if they do vote.

The news noted that the overall feeling towards voting is fairly negative. Some are voting because it is just something they have to do, while others are reserving their rights by not voting.

What are your thoughts on voting? Will you be making your way to the poll next week?
