Mindalore liquor store robbed at gunpoint

Two men are on the run after robbing a liquor store in Mindalore.

The Krugersdorp Police is on the lookout for two men responsible for an armed robbery at a Mindalore liquor store recently.

According to Krugersdorp SAPS spokesperson Tshepiso Mashale one of the wanted men pretended to be a customer at the store.

“He took liquor from the shelves and went to the checkpoint, placed the stock on the counter and handed money to the cashier,” she says.

As the cashier opened the register the man pulled out a gun and demanded the cashier not to shout and to take all the money from the register and hand it over to him.”

According to Mashale a second armed man then entered the shop.

“The second man took all the cash and some liquor, and fled the scene,” she says.

Eyewitnesses or members of the public who have more information pertaining to the men involved or more details about the robbery are urged to contact the Krugersdorp Police Station on 011 951 1111.
