
Security company ADT caught copper thieves red-handed in Chamdor.
Five suspects gained access to a business premises in Nelmapius Street, through the main entrance gate that was unlocked.
The suspects managed to jump over a wire fence.
At the back of the workshop they forced open a window, removed the burglar bars and entered the building.
The suspects started stealing copper from machines inside the workshop. The alarm was triggered and ADT reaction officers were dispatched to the scene.
They managed to apprehend three of the suspects, while the other two got away. The suspects later were handed over to the Kagiso SAPS.
Clive Humphrey, Managing Director of ADT Central Region, applauded the officers for catching the copper thieves red-handed.
