Through the hard work by a local detective and the community of Muldersdrift, the suspects were apprehended.

Two men were given a collective sentence of 51 years in prison for assaulting and raping a woman.

Both received 18 years’ imprisonment for house robbery while one of them an additional 15 years for rape.

The sentences were handed down in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court after they had been found guilty of crimes they committed in Muldersdrift in July 2012.

They entered the house of their female victim where they found her asleep in her bedroom. They assaulted her and stole portable items. One suspect also sexually assaulted the woman. Both fled the scene.

Through the hard work by detective Warrant Officer Breytenbach and the community of Muldersdrift, the suspects were apprehended.
