The partnership between a private security company and the Krugersdorp SAPS assured the arrest of two shop burglars on Sunday (25 May.)
According to Krugesdorp SAPS spokesperson Tshepiso Mashale police and a group of security officers rushed to a shop in the Krugersdorp CBD following an alarm activation at approximately 2am.
“The officers noticed a hole in the roof of the shop,” she says. “Crawling through the roof they came across two suspects hiding in the ceiling.”
The suspects – aged 24 and 28 – are being detained at the Krugersdorp Police Station and were charged with housebreaking and theft. They will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
Mashale commends the partnership between SAPS members and the private security companies.
