Man killed and woman injured near Lanseria

A man was killed and a woman critically injured this afternoon (4 June) when their vehicle rolled on the R512 near Lanseria.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, found the vehicle on its roof next to the road, says ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

“Emergency workers carefully removed the woman from the vehicle before giving her advanced life support treatment. Once stable, she was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment.”

The body of the male driver was trapped in the vehicle and was removed later by provincial services.

The cause of the collision is not known and local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
