Excitement about new developments at casino

Silverstar Casino in Muldersdrift soon will be the place where West Rand residents can go to spice up their entertainment life.

The R560 million refurbishment is set to be completed by the end of September and Silverstar Casino’s Nelda Steyn (communications manager) and Matthew Cook (complex events manager) say they are excited about the progress that is being made.

“There has never really been an entertainment spot on the West Rand where families could go and have fun together. All that is changing,” says an excited Steyn.

Visitors of all ages can expect to be entertained as there will be something for everyone.

While the women are enjoying some time at the award winning Soulstice Day Spa, the men will be able to catch all the latest sport on a 60m² big outdoor screen that boasts the latest viewing technology and sound.

“Our visitors will be able to have a braai or can be seated at any of our seven restaurants where they will be able to follow the sport on the screen,” says Cook.

He says not even direct sunlight on the screen will interfere with the viewing pleasure.

“With the latest technology the images on the screen will be viewable with or without sunlight on it.”

Steyn says children will be able to run through a newly built fountain without being scolded at or can find their entertainment at the biggest Magic Company in the area.

It will be fitted with the latest arcade games and has touch screens and the X-Rider, a virtual 3D roller coaster ride with a large plasma screen and moveable seats that give you a life-like experience once you put on your 3D glasses.

There also will be a 12-lane bowling alley as well as laser-tag games to be enjoyed by young and old.

Cook says the casino will be opening their own cinema complex boasting the latest 3D technology and luxuriously comfortable seats.

For future live entertainment shows the newly built 2 600 seater dome will host expos and live entertainment shows, explains Cook.

Those visiting the casino to find Lady Luck are not being forgotten in the multi-million refurbishment.

The entire casino interior is already being modernised with new colours, carpets, lighting and décor.

“We also are getting new exciting slot machines and tables.”

Steyn says those who are concerned about the safety of their parked vehicles do not have to worry.

“We have secure parking, as well as surveillance cameras and security to make sure vehicles are safe on our property.”
