Cansa needs your help.
Since its inception, Cansa volunteers have been the backbone and the lifeblood of the organisation. Volunteers are the foot soldiers in the fight against cancer and they are carrying out invaluable work in areas of need. Without volunteers Cansa would not be able to provide its holistic care and support to those affected by cancer.
“Cansa West Rand needs volunteers to help with care and support, fundraising and administration duties,” Amanda Roestoff, community mobiliser at the Western Gauteng Region says.
“If you have the heart, the time, the patience and the skills, we want you,” she adds.
“We are looking specifically for volunteers who would like to assist us with the planning, execution and wrap-up of our fundraising projects.”
Opportunities to give back to your society through helping others affected by cancer at their care and support division will include home visits, counselling, support groups and providing assistance with devices and equipment. “You are never too young or too old to play an active part in your society, whereby your heartfelt efforts are recognised,” Roestoff says.
