Pipe replacement in the West affecting water flow to the North
13 August 15.25pm
The water problem in Krugersdorp North seems to be related to the water pipes in Krugersdorp West being replaced at the moment.
Since yesterday, 12 August, residents of Krugersdorp North were forced to put household chores on hold because water flow was either weak or non-existent.
Ward 20 DA councillor Jakkie Naudé mentioned on his facebook page that a water pipe is being replaced in the Krugersdorp West area and that suburbs such as Appel Park, Burgershoop and parts of Krugersdorp West will be affected.
He also mentioned that residents should prepare themselves by storing extra water for cooking and sanitation purposes.
The water flow in Krugersdorp North was restored around 8.15pm last night, but taps ran dry again this morning (13 August) shortly after 8am.
An update will follow once more information becomes available.
