Some areas still without water
Some areas in Noordheuwel and Rant-en-Dal are still affected by little to no water supply.

Several residents in Noordheuwel and Rant-en-Dal areas still are without water. This is due to a low water pressure after a power failure at Rand Water’s Eikenhof pumping station.
As a contingency plan, the Mogale City Local Municipality, has made provisions for residents in the form of providing water tankers at the Rant-en-Dal Spar, Noordheuwel Pick n Pay Centre and at the Kenmare reservoir in Shannon Road.
Annette Fourie, a DA ward councillor says she can confirm that the water tankers were available when she visited the site on Sunday, 21 September.
She says a municipal specialist in water and sanitation told her several areas are still without water but the reservoir levels have increased drastically.
Rand Water, which still is pumping water to the Kenmare reservoir, continues to appeal to the community to use water sparingly in an effort to get the reservoir filled to the needed capacity.
Fourie says they have taken up the matter with a higher level with.
Leon Basson, the spokesperson on water and sanitation and a member of parliament has written to Nomvula Mokonyane, Minister of Water and Sanitation to discuss the problems being experienced as this is not just a local issue but a provincial problem as other areas in Johannesburg and on the East Rand also have been without water since last Monday.
Fourie says they also also be arguing the matter about why water tankers were not provided at an earlier stage.
The news contacted Rand Water who said that they are currently in talks to discuss the water problems will provide feedback at a later stage.
Nkosana Zali, municipal spokesperson, again could not be reached for comment.
