Eye check-ups for a worthy cause

How can you help? By simply having your eyes examined.

Numerous participating optometrists are hosting the West Rand Eye Care Awareness Day and invites the public to come and have their eyes tested.

In 2011 the first awareness programme was launched to raise more funds for charity. The goal was to test as many eyes as possible and to donate the funds raised through these examinations.

This year the awareness day is Saturday 11 October and Spec-Savers Medicross Krugersdorp and Eyelevel in Cradlestone Mall will be supporting this worthy cause.

How can you help? By simply having your eyes examined. You may use your medical aid to pay or pay a reduced fee of R300 per eye test.

In return you will receive a free pair of Infinity sunglasses, free antireflection coating from leading lens lab Essilor, a 25 per cent off your co-payment should you wish to have the spectacles made, a snack pack and last, but not least, the joy of giving.
