Gardening guru shares her secrets
Thousands of home growers are now following in her green footsteps.
The television producer, writer, artist and traveller who has been growing organic vegetables and herbs for more than 15 years recently shared some of her top tips on gardening with a small audience at the Showroom Cafe in Cradlestone Mall.
The event, hosted by the mall and Caxton’s Garden & Home magazine invited local gardening enthusiasts to enjoy a morning of good food and great gardening conversation by well-known guru Jane Griffiths. The audience also had the opportunity to win some fabulous spot prizes.
Griffiths is a very important name in gardening circles and has done numerous talks at Garden World in Muldersdrift.
Her best-selling book Jane’s Delicious Garden has led to a vegetable-growing revolution in South Africa, with thousands of home growers now following in her green footsteps.
Her second book Jane’s Delicious Kitchen is a collection of delicious recipes to make the most of seasonal abundance.
Griffith’s third book Jane’s Delicious Herbs covers everything you need to know about herbs – from creative ideas for herb garden design, to hands-on advice for setting up and maintaining an organic herb garden. It includes over a hundred fun and useful recipes for making the most of the herb harvest.
