Two arrested for attempted murder

The suspects allegedly were part of a group of men who attacked the two victims.

The Kagiso Police arrested two suspects aged 25 and 26 for attempted murder in Swanieville.

Solomon Sibiya, police spokesperson for the Kagiso Police says they received complaints from members of the community of a stabbing and immediately went to the scene of the crime on Sunday 19 October.

“Upon arrival at the scene in Kingfisher Street they found paramedics attending to two unknown men who were lying and bleeding in the street,” he says.

One complainant sustained stab wounds to his back and the other to the stomach.

“The two men were rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition. The motive for the attack is unknown but police investigations are under way,” says Sibiya.

The two arrested suspects allegedly were part of a group of men that attacked the two victims. They have been detained at the Kagiso Police Station and will appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court soon, facing charges of attempted murder.
