Well-known doctor passes
Dr Buchmann will be remembered mostly for being a truly remarkable person and an even greater doctor.
Many in Krugersdorp are left heartbroken after learning of Dr Eddie Buchmann’s sudden death in October.
The beloved doctor died after a short sick bed at the age of 75. His memorial service took place at the Krugersdorp Catholic Church.
Buchmann was known for his breakthrough work as an exceptional diagnostician. He was well-known in many households in Krugersdorp and served his community to the best of his ability.
He was born in Roodepoort and remained unmarried throughout his life and also did not have any children, however, being a general practitioner allowed him to nurture many relationships in his career.
He retired around 18 months ago but still continued to consult on many cases.
He was known for being a great lover of music and animals and had an extensive record and DVD collection. But Buchmann will be remembered mostly for being a truly remarkable person and an even greater doctor.
