Stolen motorbike found in car

On further investigation the second bike was recovered inside the shack.

The Krugersdorp Police together with the K9 Unit arrested five suspects for being in possession of stolen property and possession of unlicensed firearms.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Thepiso Mashale, the police stopped a suspicious-looking vehicle with three occupants inside.

“They searched the vehicle and found a motorcycle on the seat. The suspects were questioned about where they got the bike, but they could not give a clear answer.”

The officers made an enquiry and established that the bike was one of three that were stolen. The officers went to search the one suspect’s house in Munsieville. The other two suspects who were at the shack at the time managed to run away.

“One suspect had a firearm and tried to shoot at the police. The police shot him in the legs but he still managed to get away.”

On further investigation the second bike was recovered inside the shack, one unlicensed firearm also was recovered and other suspected stolen property.

The suspects were detained at Krugersdorp Police Station and later appeared in court. The Krugersdorp Station Commander acknowledges the good work done by his members.
