Drowning and accident leads to loss of life

A man has died in an alleged drowning incident over the weekend, while another lost his life in a pedestrian accident.

Two people have died in two separate incidents over the weekend.

An inquest docket was opened following the alleged drowning of a man at 2.20pm on Saturday 24 January at Coronation Dam.

Tshepiso Mashale, a police spokesperson at the Krugersdorp Police said that she was unable to obtain any information about this incident and will provide more information at a later stage.

Yesterday, 25 January a 40-year-old male was killed during a pedestrian accident in Rustenburg Road in Krugersdorp West at about 4.30pm.

Mashale said a culpable homicide case was opened and further investigations will be conducted.
