Simba Mhere. the man who stole South African's hearts in 2010 has died.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has tweeted that Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere has died.

In the tweet the SABC said that he had died following a car accident in the early hours of this morning in Johannesburg. He was apparently on his way to OR Tambo International airport EWN reported.

Mhere’s deep and smooth voice had captured the hearts of South Africans over the country when he became the youngest and newest member of the Top Billing family when he won the show’s Top Billing Presenter search in 2010.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Simba moved to Johannesburg when he was one year old.
