Pam and George were married in Krugersdorp on 13 January 1945. They started married life living with George’s parents in West Krugersdorp, as even in those days it was not easy to find work and support a family.
Finally, they were able to move into their own home in Kenmare. They were blessed with three children; Walter, Anthony and Cheryl. They are also the proud grandparents of two granddaughters, one grandson and one great grandson.

On Saturday 17 January Pam and George celebrated their anniversary with 40 close friends and family. On this occasion George’s surviving brothers, Laurie and Butch, and his cousin Ursula recounted amusing anecdotes of Pam and George’s early married life.
On arrival at Engedi, Pam could not help commenting on the stark contrast between their wedding day during the war and the anniversary celebration with the stunning setting, elegant table set up and delicious food.
The beautiful flowers were done by their daughter, Cheryl, who is a professional florist. Pam and George always will remember and cherish that unforgettable day.
