Alleged sexual exploiter back in court in April

The Krugersdorp man accused of sexually exploiting himself to underage girls will reappear in the Roodepoort Magistrates' Court in April.

The trial of the 32-year-old alleged sexual exploiter, which kicked off in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court this week, has been postponed to mid April.

The man who allegedly exposed himself publicly in 2013 presented his alibi in court this week, after which the case was postponed for the investigating officer to review new information presented by the defendant.

The case initially was closed last year but was reopened due to new information received.

He stands accused of indecently exposing himself to underage girls in both Krugersdorp and Roodepoort before he was arrested at his workplace in Kenmare.

Since his arrest in 2013, the charges of nine cases against him have been reduced to six, as some of the victims have decided not to testify.

He was arrested after he allegedly offered a 17-year-old pupil from Hoƫrskool Bastion R200 for oral sex.

The offender pleaded not guilty early last year. There are currently four dockets and six complaints against him.

The accused is still out on bail.

The case is due to start again on 14 April.
