Woman crash through shop window with car
A woman with two children in the car, accidentally crashed through the window of Pieman's Pantry.
Could a local woman have been so hungry for pies that she decided to use her vehicle to make a drive-through of a pie shop?
All jokes aside, however, a mother of two accidentally drove through the window of the factory side of Pieman’s Pantry, after mistakenly putting her foot on the accelerator pedal of her vehicle instead of the break.
Late on Sunday, 24 May, afternoon the staff of Pieman’s Factory Shop heard a loud bang as a vehicle crashed through their shop window at 3.50pm.

The 30-year old woman had her two children in the car at the time of the accident.
It is believed that the woman was on her way to KFC next door from the pie shop when she accidentally accelerated the vehicle through the shop window instead of breaking to park in the parking lot.
The owners of the shop, Alletha Snow and husband Tony told the News that the accident may cost them about R150 000 in damages.
“Is she so desperate for pies?” Snow laughed when she first arrived at the accident scene.
The shop window along with an industrial mixer were damaged in the accident.

“Luckily no one was hurt,” she commented gratefully. The shop’s insurance company is still investigating the incident. The shop has been a landmark in the area for the past 16 year.
This is not the first time that bad luck struck the shop owners. A few years ago the factory burnt down after a fire broke out.
